BLANCHARD — Putnam City West opened the girls cross country season with a third-place finish at the Blanchard Burner Saturday (Aug. 15).
Senior Tori Rolling finished 17th with a time of 15:56.86. Fellow senior Mariana Perez finished just behind her with a time of 15:56.90, good for the 18th.

The Patriots will run at the Southside Showdown at Southeast next Saturday (Aug. 22).
