Putnam City West

OKLAHOMA CITY — Putnam City West notched a second place finish at the Southside Showdown at Southeast Saturday (Aug. 22).

The Patriots had four runners in the top 20, including Tori Rolling. The senior finished sixth with a time of 14:32.42.

West coach Ronnie Osborne said his runner set several personal bests at the race.

“Finishing second overall as a team was a big accomplishment for us, Osborne said via text. “The girls were super excited.

“More than anything, I’m proud of the progress they continue to make each week. They’ve been working hard, pushing themselves outside of their comfort zones. and we’re starting to see that work show up on meet day. We still have a lot of season ahead of us, but I really like the direction this group is heading.”
