The faces have changed but the goals and expectations remain the same.
Bethany volleyball coach Kerri Cagle said this year’s team will look different and will be younger than the 2024 squad which won a 4A state title and the 2025 team which made it to the state semifinals.
“The girls have been working hard and put in a lot of work during the offseason but I am really excited to see the upcoming weeks.
The Bronchos return three seniors, middle blockers Emma Sailer, Keyaira Ohera and libero Gracee Geissler.
Bethany will have plenty of newcomers looking to contribute, including senior defensive specialist Kennedy Palmer, junior setter Hannah Bergman, junior outside hitters Isla Thompson and Katelyn Thanscheidt.
The Bronchos will also have sophomore setter Vivian Flinton, freshman outside hitter Maquire Fields and freshman outside hitter/middle blocker Ava Gordon.

Bethany begins the season Tuesday (Aug. 11) at Weatherford. The match begins at 6 p.m.
Last season, Weatherford was 33-6 and fell to eventual 4A state champ Community Christian in the state quarterfinals.
The Bronchos earned a 3-0 win over the Eagles in the season opener last year. Bethany also picked up a 2-0 win over Weatherford in the Bethany tournament.
