Bethany senior Jules Barger was selected for the Middle West All-State team named by the Oklahoma High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association.

“This is a well deserved award for Jules,” Bethany softball coach Booker Blakley said via text. “She has been a leader all three years I have been fortunate to have her.

“She is such a multi-faceted softball player. She’s a center fielder who had to play short and pitch for us and she has met that challenge head on. Then on top of that, she’s always been one of our main offensive threats. She’s a kid that you’d always love to have in your program.”

This season, Barger hit .480 and a .526 on-base percentage. She collected 49 hits. Of those, 17 were doubles, two were triples and seven were homers. Barger drove in 39 runs.
