BIXBY — Bethany’s girls cross country team dominated in the Summit Cross Country Open Invitational Saturday (Aug. 29) at Summit Park.

The Bronchos won by nearly 30 points over second place Owasso Prep.

Sophomore Morgan McNutt won the individual race with a time of 12:16.06, which out paced Owasso Prep freshman Florence Bayne’s time of 12:33.61. Broncho freshman Cambria Morris added an eighth place finish.

In all, four Bethany runners finished in the top 20.

The Bethany boys finished fourth at the event.

Junior Salyer Stayton finished 10th (18:12.28) with sophomore teammate Aiden Donoghue right behind at 11th (18:16.57)

UP NEXT

The Bronchos will compete Saturday night (Sept. 5) at the Mustang Harrier “Under the Lights” at Wild Horse Park.

McNutt finished third in the race last year.
