OKLAHOMA CITY – Western Heights rolled to a doubleheader sweep of John Marshall Thursday (April 25), winning 10-3 and 10-0.

GAME 1: WESTERN HEIGHTS 10, JOHN MARSHALL 3

The Jets scored six runs in the first inning en route to blowout win.

Western Heights walked four times and collected two hits in the big inning. Junior Kipp Davis topped off the offensive outburst by stealing home.

Junior Kole Schrock led off the second with a double to left field and later stole home as did junior A’mi Avelar, who reached after being hit by a pitch.

Sophomore Connor Logsdon ended the game early in the fourth inning with a two-run double, scoring Davis and junior Jake Bogle.

Junior Jacob Bohnstedt got the win, allowing three hits and two, striking out seven batters.

GAME 2: WESTERN HEIGHTS 10, JOHN MARSHALL 0

The Jets walked 11 times, only recording one hit in only two innings before the game was called.

Avelar’s three-run double to center field in the second inning put Western Heights over the 10-run mark for the win.

Schrock allowed one hit and struck out two in his one inning of work in the shortened game.
