LAWTON — Putnam City North rallied in the final two innings but dropped an 8-6 contest Thursday (Sept. 24) in a 6A-1 contest.
Trailing 8-3 in the sixth inning, the Panthers took advantage of two errors to score a run. In the seventh, a walk and an error set the stage for a 2-run rally. Senior Presley Standridge cleared the bases, lining a double to left field. A fly out and pop out ended the contest.
Standridge was 2-for-4 for the game. North had just four hits and three walks but Ike committed six errors.
The Panthers had seven errors. Standridge only allowed three earned runs due to the errors. She struck out five batters and walked one.
