
OKLAHOMA CITY — Western Heights came from behind to beat Classen S.A.S. 7-5 on the first day of the ACAC Baseball Tournament at Douglass.
The Jets trailed 5-4 entering the third inning. The Jets tied the game at 5 when senior Akin Aguillard doubled home Heyward Martin, who walked to lead off the inning. Sophomore J.J. Bradley walked and senior Connor Logsdon singled Aguillard home. Senior Parker Cronk walked to load the bases. After two strikeouts, senior Keziah Howell was hit by a pitch to drive in the final run.
In the first inning, Western Heights took advantage of a Comet error to take a 2-0 lead. Classen tied the game in the bottom half of the inning.
In the second inning, Kronk was hit by a pitch and freshman Kenan Towa walked. Howell doubled to left to give the Jets a 4-2 lead.
In the bottom half of the second inning, four walks and two hit batsmen proved costly as the Comets scored three runs to take a 5-4 lead entering the final inning.
Howell was 2-for-2 with three runs batted in.
Kronk got a no-decision after 1 2/3 innings. He allowed two hits and two runs. Kronk walked one batter and struck out two. Rule pitched 1/3 of inning, walked three batters and gave up three runs. Aguillard struck out the side and worked around a walk in the third inning to earn a save.

The Jets play 5A Southeast Friday (March 27) at 1:45 p.m. in the semifinals. If the Jets win, they’ll play the winner of Northwest Classen and Capitol Hill for the ACAC crown Friday at 7 p.m.
The Spartans (1-8) edged Douglass 4-3 on Thursday.
