Broken Arrow scored big early for a 6A-3 sweep of Putnam City Monday and Tuesday (March 23-24).

BROKEN ARROW — The Tigers scored six runs in the second inning and the Pirates were held to two hits.
Senior Justin Knight and sophomore Gabe Krueger each had a hit in the loss.
Putnam City’s duo of junior Easton Garcia and senior Austin Clifton combined for three walks, all in the second inning. Garcia also hit four batters, three of which came in the second inning.
Broken Arrow senior Jaden Bedford struck out seven Pirates.

WARR ACRES — Broken Arrow led off the game with seven runs and the rout was on.
In the first inning, three walks, two Pirate errors, a double and a triple led to a big inning. The Tigers added seven more runs in the fourth inning/
Putnam City scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth on three walks, senior Henry Thein’s double and junior Jared Potter’s single.
In the fifth inning, a Knight triple scored sophomore MJ Petties and junior Bryson Vanover, who walked with one out.
Thein finished with a 2-for-3 day and two runs batted in. Petties, Vanover, Knight and Potter each had hits. Knight drove in two runs. Petties stole two bases.
Pirate pitchers issued 10 walks in the loss.
