JENKS — Putnam City North clinched the 6A-3 title Tuesday (Feb. 10) with a 69-55 win over Jenks.

The Panthers sprinted out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter en route to the win.

Sophomore Keaton Murry led North with 17 points. Murry hit three 3-pointers in the first half and scored 12 points total before halftime. He had six rebounds, three assists and three turnovers.

Senior Nate Muriithi added 13 points, including eight points in the third quarter. Muriithi had four rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot.

Junior Miles Jackson followed with nine points. Jackson scored eight points in the first quarter alone with two treys. He had a rebound, two assists and a steal.

Sophomore Devion Gillispie and senior TJ McNeely each scored seven points. Gillispie had two rebounds and two steals. McNeely had three rebounds, two assists and a block.

UP NEXT

North (21-1, 13-0) has a chance for an undefeated district season. They wrap up 6A-3 play Friday (Feb. 13) by hosting Capitol Hill (0-17, 0-11).

The Red Wolves lost to the 4A John Marshall, 77-58, Monday.

The Panthers routed Capitol Hill 98-27 on Jan. 16.
