
ENID — Despite a fourth quarter comeback, Putnam City West fell to 4A Star Spencer, 40-31, Saturday (Jan. 10) on the final day of the Enid New Year’s Classic.
The Patriots fell behind 29-15 after three quarters but outscored the Bobcats in the fourth quarter 16-9.
West junior Shania White led the Patriots with 10 points. White scored six of her total during the fourth quarter rally.
Sophomore Victoria Martinez scored four of her seven points in the fourth quarter and freshman Caitlyn Alexander scored all six of her points in the final period.
UP NEXT
West (2-13, 0-5) hosts Norman North Tuesday (Jan. 13) at 6 p.m. in a 6A-I contest.
The Timberwolves (5-3, 2-2) beat Edmond Memorial, 49-48, last Tuesday.
