
ELK CITY — Bethany gave up a seventh inning lead as Elk City walked off with a 3-2 win Tuesday (March 25) in a 4A-1 contest.
The Bronchos struck first when senior Levi Moore singled home sophomore Brody McLaren in the third inning. Bethany (8-3, 3-2) loaded the bases but couldn’t push across another run.
The Elks tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom half of the inning after senior Collin Church drove in a run on an infield single.
The Bronchos took a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning on an RBI-single by senior Charlie Tolle.
Tolle struck out eight batters in six innings of work but loaded the bases with no one out in the seventh inning on two singles and a walk.
Fellow senior Brock Cross got a strikeout of Elk senior Cole Buie. Cross followed with a wild pitch that allowed sophomore Krew Keyes to score to tie the game at 2-2.
Elk City walked off with the win on a ground ball error by Bethany sophomore third baseman Cooper Willis which scored Elk senior Cameron Carlisle for the win.
Moore finished with a 3-for-4 day at the plate. He had a double and drove in a run. Junior Judson Gilliland was 2-for-3 with a triple and a run scored. Junior Karter Thomas and McLaren were each 1-for-3.

Bethany will play in the Bryson Cael Festival at Putnam City Thursday (March 27). The Bronchos face 5A Del City (0-10) at 11 a.m. and 5A Santa Fe South (0-11) at 4 p.m.
Del City fell to Noble, 26-2, Tuesday. Santa Fe South lost to Elgin, 15-0, Monday.
