
OKLAHOMA CITY — Putnam City West gave up an early lead to Westmoore for an 81-64 loss Tuesday (Feb. 11) in a 6A-3 matchup.
“Gotta be tougher. Gave up way too many offensive rebounds,” Putnam City West coach Brian Booker said via text. “Can’t beat good teams like Westmoore playing that way.”
West led, 19-15 after one quarter but the Jaguars led at halftime, 36-32.
Patriot junior Quavion Wheeler scored 18 points (nine of which came in the third quarter) to lead West. Fellow junior DJ Carter added 12 points on four 3-pointers.
Senior Jordan Kariuki followed 11 points as did junior Damari Coleman.
Westmoore senior Grand Barnard scored a game-high 23 points. Junior Ivan Antwi Donkor added 22 points in the win.

West continues 6A-3 play Friday(Feb. 14) by hosting Muskogee (8-9, 5-5) at 7:30 p.m.
The Roughers lost to Union, 55-33, Tuesday.
