
OKLAHOMA CITY — Putnam City North used a big second half push to beat Moore, 43-31, Tuesday (Feb. 11) in a 6A-2 game.
“Great bounce back win for the team,” Putnam City North DJ Lemons said via text. “The boys knew the importance of this game, also knew it wasn’t going to be an easy especially how good Moore has been playing.”
North held a 20-17 lead at halftime, but extended the lead in the second half.
Senior Anthony Leonard led the Panthers with 10 points, nine rebounds and three assists.
Sophomore DKarin Johnson added nine points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Junior TJ McNeeley followed with eight points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Sophomore Mekhi Thomas scored four points, grabbed three rebounds and had two steals.
The Panthers were near perfect from the free throw line, hitting 12-of-13 from the stripe.
“Now we have to move on and get ready for senior night,” Lemons said.
