
OKLAHOMA CITY — Putnam City West had four players score in double figures in a 78-52 win over Ponca City Tuesday (Jan. 28) in a 6A-3 contest.
“It was good a district win,” Putnam City West coach Brian Booker said via text. “We are pushing the ball up the floor better. We are also rebounding better as a team.”
Patriot junior Quavion Wheeler scored a game-high 20 points in the win. Sophomore Mari Gilstrap added 14 points, hitting four 3-pointers.
Junior DJ Carter followed with 11 points. Junior Demari Coleman scored 10 points with two treys.

West continues 6A-3 play with a road contest at Tulsa Union Friday (Jan. 31) at 7:30 p.m.
Union (12-6, 6-1) beat Westmoore, 68-62, Tuesday.
