

OKLAHOMA CITY – Putnam City North roared back from a slow start in the second quarter and pulled away from Choctaw in the fourth quarter for a 57-44 win Friday (Dec. 20) in a 6A-2 contest.
The Panthers fell behind 17-6 in the opening quarter but went on a 12-2 run to pull within a point, 19-18 with 4:02 before halftime.
North got to the free throw line in the final part of the quarter and took a 27-25 lead to the locker room.
The game stayed close in the third quarter before the Panthers widened the lead in the fourth quarter.

Panther senior Khai Brown scored a game-high 19 points with three 3-pointers in the third quarter. Nate Muriithi finished with 11 points. The junior hit 5-of-6 from the free throw line in the third quarter.
North improved to 3-1 in district play as Choctaw fell to 3-1. Norman remains 3-0 after beating North Tuesday, 59-50.
UP NEXT
The Panthers (7-4, 3-1) return to action next Thursday (Dec. 26) in the Bank 7 Holiday Classic in Mustang.
North takes on Holland Hall at 5:30 p.m. The Dutch are 2-2 and ranked 16th in Class 4A.
