OKLAHOMA CITY – Putnam City West rode a strong second half to a 80-48 win over Bixby Tuesday (Dec. 17) in a 6A-3 contest.
“We played well tonight,” Putnam City West coach Brian Booker said via text. “Any time you score 80 plus points you have a chance to win. We didn’t play well defensively in the first half, but I’m proud of the way we only allowed 20 points in the second half.
“It was definitely our most complete game of the year.”
The Patriots (2-3, 2-1) had four players in double figures led by junior DJ Carter. Damari Coleman added 14 points with four 3-pointers. Senior Jordan Kariuki finished with 13 points and junior Quavion Wheeler produced 12 points.
