We Cover the Bronchos. West Metro Sports

FARMINGTON, Ark. – Bethany dug a big hole in the first half and fell to Forrest City (Ark), 73-57, Friday (Dec. 13) at the Cardinal Classic at Farmington High School.

The Mustangs built a 45-22 lead by halftime.

“We really need some time to work on some things so we can mix things up in game when things aren’t working,” Bethany coach Brett Cannon said via text, “They were really good. A few coaches said they should be the favorite to win class 4A in Arkansas.”

Cannon said Forrest City (7-2) shot “around 70% from the field.”

“They just couldn’t miss and when they did, we couldn’t put the ball in the hole.”

Senior Aiden Todd led Bethany (1-2) with 14 points. Fellow seniors Jackie Payne, Braxton Mullins and Denton Jaggers each added seven points in the loss.

” Again, not too stressed out,” Cannon said. “We see the things we need to fix, we just need some time in the gym to fix those.”
