OKLAHOMA CITY – Putnam City North used a strong third quarter to beat sister school Putnam City West, 56-48, Friday (Dec. 6).

“Good team win tonight… our step up to another challenge, to well prepared and coached team,” Putnam City North coach DJ Lemons said via text. “After using a lot of energy on PCO last night, our boys showed up and pushed thru mentally and physically to get another win.”

After North had an early lead, the Patriots took a 26-24 lead at halftime. North answered with a 20-10 third quarter in the win.

With the win, North finished undefeated against its sister schools in the regular season.

Putnam City North (3-2) hosts Capitol Hill in a 6A-2 contest Tuesday (Dec. 10) at 7:30 p.m.

Putnam City West (1-1) hosts Putnam City (1-1) Saturday (Dec. 7) at 4 p.m. The Pirates fell to Putnam City North, 48-46, Thursday (Dec. 5).
