Bethany’s boys basketball team is looking to take the next step this season after five straight seasons* falling in the 4A area playoffs.
Last season, the Bronchos finished 19-9 with a first-round Area exit after a loss to Stilwell.
Bethany coach Brett Cannon, in his third season coaching the Bronchos, will have nine seniors on the roster and many of that group has started or played roles since their freshman year.
“I feel very optimistic about this upcoming season. We return our entire starting five and three guys who played minutes of the bench,” Cannon said via a preseason questionnaire. “Our guys have grown and matured and I am excited to see them in their final year.
“I think our guys are extremely excited to capture this moment. We all believe we have underachieved these last two years and doing that this year is not an option.”

Bethany opens the 2024-25 campaign at home Dec. 10 against Kingfisher, who was 8-18 last season. Tip-off is at 8 p.m.
