BETHANY – Kayten Donley, one of the key cogs behind the Lady Bronchos’ back-to-back state titles, announced her commitment to NCAA Division I Oral Roberts Wednesday (July 31).

Donley, who will be a senior this season, made the announcement on X (formerly known as Twitter).

In the post, Donley thanked God, her family, teammates and coaches.

“I would like to thank Coach (Kelsi) Musick and her staff for believing in me,” Donley said in a statement.

The 6-foot-1 forward was named to the All-West Metro Girls Basketball Team as the 6th-man for the 2023-2024 season.

She averaged 12.6 points a game and 5.8 rebounds a contest on 50.8 percent shooting from the field. Donley was named to the second team on the The Oklahoman’s 2024 Little All-City Girls Basketball Team for her junior season.

In the Class 4A State Tournament, she scored 13 points in the semifinal win over Douglass and added 17 points in the title game against Lincoln Christian, earning MVP honors.

In the regional title game against Purcell, Donley poured in 31 points to eclipse the 1,000-point mark in her high school career.

Musick will be in her second season leading the Golden Eagles this season. Last year, ORU finished 12-19 overall and finished fifth in the Summit League, going 8-10 in league play.

Before heading to Oral Roberts in Tulsa, Musick spent 13 seasons at the helm at Southwestern Oklahoma State in Weatherford, reaching the NCAA Division II title game in 2019.
