BETHANY – Both the Bethany boys and girls soccer teams are headed to the Class 4A state tournament next week.
The boys team finished the regular season 8-7 and 5-2 in District 4A-1 which was good for third place.
The Bronchos boast district wins over Madill, Douglass, Chickasha (who finished second in the district), Cache and Ardmore. Bethany fell to 4A-1 winner Heritage Hall and Altus.
The Bronchos will host Woodward Tuesday (April 30) at 8 p.m. in the first round of the playoffs.
The Lady Bronchos also finished third in District 4A-1, going 7-9 overall and 5-2 in district play.
Bethany’s only two losses in district play were to first place Heritage Hall and second place Chickasha. The Lady Bronchos beat Madill, Bridge Creek, Cache, Altus and Ardmore.
Bethany travels to Clinton Tuesday (April 30) at 4:30 p.m. in the first round of the playoffs.
