OKLAHOMA CITY – A nine-run third inning led to a 13-0 Norman rout of Putnam City West Monday (April 8) in a Class 6A District 1 game.

The Tigers (14-8, 4-5) run-ruled the Patriots despite only collecting five hits. Norman took advantage of four West errors. The Tigers walked seven times, had six hit batsmen and stole nine bases.

West (6-11, 0-9) got only two hits in the loss. Seniors Sam Hernandez and Rico Hamilton each got a hit and junior Nathan Vann walked.

UP NEXT: The two teams will meet Tuesday (April 9) in Norman. First pitch is set for 5 p.m.
