OKLAHOMA CITY — Unbeaten Ardmore used big plays for a 41-0 win over Western Heights Thursday (Oct. 29) in a 4A-2 contest.
The Tigers (9-0, 6-0) scored four touchdowns in the first half. The Jets lost a fumble which led to the first score. Western Heights was able to drive into Ardmore territory but had to punt.
Trailing 14-0, the Jets’ Jamel Smith snagged an interception but Western Heights couldn’t capitalize. Later in the quarter, the Jets reached the Ardmore 22-yard line but a bad snap pushed them back and a fourth down pass fell incomplete.
The Tigers scored on the opening possession of the second half in two plays to make it 35-0. From that point, the game was played with a running clock.
The Jet defense did turn away the Tigers early in the fourth quarter and forced a turnover on downs.
