OKLAHOMA CITY — Edmond North senior receiver Reece Fisher caught four touchdown passes in the Huskies’ 42-13 win over Putnam City North Friday (Sept. 11).
Edmond North senior quarterback Chauncey Craven connected with Fisher on catches from 27, 7, 25 and 70 yards against the Panthers. Fisher’s performance set a new single-game touchdown reception school record.
The Huskies built a 35-0 lead in the second quarter before Putnam City North finally got on the scoreboard.
On the possession after the fifth score, the Panthers drove 73 yards for a score. The drive was highlighted by a 29-yard pass from junior Owen McMahan to senior Gavin Davis, which moved North inside the Edmond North 10-yard line.
Two plays later, junior Kenneth Hamilton dove up the middle from one yard out into the end zone with 3:49 left before halftime.
After the final Edmond North touchdown, the Panthers scored in the third quarter. Putnam City North moved down the field thanks to a Husky targeting call.
On fourth down, Davis got behind his defender for a 21-yard touchdown pass.
