EDMOND — Edmond Memorial’s Brooklyn Hibdon tossed a 5-inning no-hitter against Putnam City North in a 13-0 win Tuesday (Aug. 25) in a 6A-1 contest.
The Panthers made contact, however, as Hibdon didn’t strike out a batter.
In the third inning, senior Grayson Petty reached base on an error. The next batter, the Panthers’ Kaylssa Smith, reached base on a fielder’s choice that forced Petty out at second base. Smith later stole second before a groundout ended the inning.

The Panthers (1-10, 0-5) will host Norman North Monday (Aug. 31) at 6:30 p.m. in another 6A-1 matchup.
On Tuesday, the Timberwolves (6-6, 2-2) lost to Choctaw, 2-0.
