WARR ACRES — Putnam City’s bats got rolling in two wins over 3A Millwood Monday (Aug. 24).
Pirate coach Joe Wood said his team’s growth has been a group effort.
“Each girl is finding their own way towards helping and sharing the team success. We were able to play a lot of different girls through both games, which will help with future development of the program,” Wood said via text.

A 10-run second inning turned a 6-3 game int a run-rule win. PC had 15 hits. Of those, Original had five extra-base hits, including senior Tesslynn Goodner’s solo shot to begin the second inning outburst.
Senior Alexandra Hatlelid allowed two hits over three innings and struck out six batters.
