CASHION — Bethany struggled offensively against an undefeated squad and rebounded with a win over host Cashion Friday (Aug. 21) at the Jacie Cochran Memorial Tournament.

The Bronchos were no-hit in the shortened game, due to time limits.
Bethany had two baserunners. Sophomore Dani Williams reached on an infield error in the second inning. An inning later, freshman Izzy Melton led off with a walk. Sophomore Katelyn Sydnes laid down a sacrifice bunt which advanced Melton to second base. She was stranded there.

The Bronchos rebounded with a win over the host Wildcats.
Bethany started early. Senior Emma Geissler led off the bottom of the first with a triple and then scored on an error. An inning later, Williams led off with a walk. Later, Melton singled to left. Another single to left field, this time by Sydnes, scored Williams.
Cashion mounted a 2-out rally in the third inning with a single and two doubles plating two runs.
In the third, the Bronchos pulled away for good. Senior Ella Davis singled. Fellow senior Jules Barger followed with a double to right field. Sophomore Macy Bibbs walked to load the bases.
After Williams struck out for the second out, Davis and Barger both scored on a passed ball. Another Cashion error brought Macy Bibbs home for the 5-2 lead.
