OKLAHOMA CITY — Putnam City was held without a hit Monday (March 2) in a season-opening 8-0 loss to 3A Crossings Christian.
Crossings senior Maddox Turner allowed a walk and struck out seven batters in the 5-inning no-hitter.
Putnam City senior Justin Knight walked to lead off the fifth inning for the Pirates’ lone base runner.
The Pirates also committed three errors in the loss and three Original pitchers combined to walk 10 batters.
