EDMOND — Putnam City North opened the season with a 5-0 loss at Edmond Santa Fe Monday (March 2).

The Panthers managed just three singles and committed four errors in the loss.

The Wolves scored three runs in the fifth inning to pull away, thanks to two North errors.

The middle of the North lineup including seniors Reece Hubble, Quincy Robinson and junior Treague Ferguson each got a hit.

Panther batters struck out nine times in the loss.

Hubble gave up eight hits over four innings in the loss. Hubble allowed only one earned run. He walked three batters and struck out four.

Putnam City North hosts Edmond North Tuesday (March 3) at 5 p.m.

On Monday, the Huskies opened the season a 6-4 home win over Ponca City.
