

SAND SPRINGS — The Putnam City West girls wrestling team finished seventh at the Sand Springs tournament. Despite having only seven point-scorers in the lineup, the Patriots finished seventh out of 42 teams.
Leading the charge for West were sophomore Chloe Medlock and senior Carli Antonelli, both of whom captured first-place finishes in their respective weight classes. Medlock took the 115-pound title with a 9-4 decision, while Antonelli dominated the 140-pound bracket, securing a 17-0 technical fall in the championship match.
Carissa Martin also reached the finals for the Patriots, earning a second-place finish at 110 pounds. Freshman Emily Hamil rounded out the top podium spots for West with a third-place finish at 100 pounds, winning her final match by fall.
