OKLAHOMA CITY — U.S. Grant scored 30 points in the fourth quarter to pull away from Western Heights in a 44-6 win Friday (Sept. 5) at C.B. Speegle Stadium.
The Jets (0-1) struck first with a score in the second quarter.
The score was set up by a fumble recovery by senior Keziah Howell with 5:56 left in the before halftime. Freshman quarterback Dequone Mosley took a quarterback run and weaved through the General defense for a 12-yard touchdown run with 4:05 left before halftime.
U.S. Grant (1-0) answered with a score just before halftime.
The Generals extended the lead with two scored in the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, U.S. Grant took advantage of Jet turnovers with an interception return for score and fumble recovery for a touchdown.
