
OKLAHOMA CITY — Western Heights and Santa Fe South played to a 12-12 tie Saturday (May 3) in a 5A scrimmage.
The Jets (15-13) led 7-5 but a seven-run seventh inning gave the Saints a 12-7 lead.
Western Heights answered in the bottom of the seventh inning with six walks. The Jets took advantage of an error to plate five runs to tie the game.
Senior Jacob Bohnstedt went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two runs batted in. Junior Keziah Howell was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Seniors Caden Wiebusch and Kipp Davis each had a hit.
Western Heights used seven pitchers, who combined to walk nine batters and strike out four.
