MOORE — Moore had five pitchers combine for a five-inning no-hitter of Putnam City in a 10-0 run-rule win Tuesday (April 8) in a 6A-2 contest.

The Pirates (2-17, 0-6) managed just three walks and struck out 11 times. PC put two balls in play in the shortened game.

Senior JT Twillie had two of those walks and added a stolen base. Fellow senior Connor Fast had the other walk, a leadoff walk on four pitches to start the game.

UP NEXT

Putnam City is one of the host sites for the Northwest Optimist Tournament. The Pirates face Mustang Thursday (April 10) at 2 p.m.

The Broncos (12-8) outscored Capitol Hill, 34-0, in a doubleheader sweep Monday.

Other teams in PC’s part of the bracket include 4A Bridge Creek (7-11), the OKC Mets (10-10) and Choctaw (14-4).
