
OKLAHOMA CITY — Western Heights split its two games on the first day of the All-City Athletic Conference baseball tournament at U.S. Grant Thursday (March 27).
WESTERN HEIGHTS 8, U.S. GRANT 2
The Jets opened the tournament with a rout of the Generals.
Western Heights had five hits and took advantage of five errors and three walks from Grant.
Seniors Jacob Bohnstedt, Caden Wiebusch, juniors Akin Aguillard, Connor Logsdon and freshman J.J. Bradley each had a hit.
Aguillard drove in two runs in the win.
On the mound, Bohnstedt allowed one hit in two innings of work. He struck out two batters. Logsdon allowed two hits in the final inning. He also struck out two batters.

Errors plagued the Jets at the Redwolves walked off with a 4-3 win.
Tied at 3-3 in the fourth and final inning, a ground ball from Capitol Hill junior Jakob Roof was booted by Jet senior third baseman Ami Avelar to score the winning run.
Junior Keziah Howell and senior Israel Lopez each went 2-for-2 in the loss. Bohnstedt, Aguillard, Bradley and Logsdon each had a hit.
Western Heights committed six errors for the game.
Wiebusch allowed five hits in 3 1/3 innings. Only two of the four runs he allowed were earned due to the error. Wiebusch struck out four batters.
