YUKON – Putnam City North was eliminated in the Class 6A Regional at Yukon Thursday (Oct. 10) with a 17-0 loss to host Yukon.

The Millers jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning en route to the rout.

During the inning, North freshman Kayleigh Andrews took a hard line drive off her face at third base. North coach D’Antae Mitchell said further tests were being run to determine the severity of the injury.

The Lady Panther offense struggled, producing only two hits. Senior Angel Franklin and sophomore Savannah Martinez each had a hit in the loss.

Meanwhile, Yukon racked up 17 hits against four North pitchers.

The Lady Panthers finish the season at 9-24.
