OKLAHOMA CITY – Putnam City North snapped a six-game winning streak by Mustang, extending their own streak to five games with a 47-32 win Friday (Jan. 26) in a Class 6A District 1 game.
The Lady Panthers (14-3) held Mustang to only two points in the second half en route to the win.
Junior Nykaiya Dillard scored a team-high 10 points.
UP NEXT: The Lady Panthers make the short trek to neighboring Deer Creek to meet the Lady Antlers Tuesday (Jan. 30). Tip-off is at 6 p.m. North won the first matchup between the two schools, 68-50, on Dec. 5.
Edmond Memorial 83, Putnam City 39
WARR ACRES – A third quarter scoring burst by Edmond Memorial turned into a rout as Lady Bulldogs beat Putnam City, 83-39, Friday (Jan. 26) in a Class 6A District 3 contest.
The Lady Pirates (7-8) only trailed by three at the end of the first quarter, but saw the deficit balloon to 13 by halftime (37-24).
Edmond Memorial (13-3) put the game out of reach in the third quarter, outscoring Putnam City, 29-12, to pull away.
Juniors Kayla Hill and Destinee paced the Lady Pirates with 12 points and 10 points, respectively. Sophomore Chariyah Williams added nine points.
Putnam City turned the ball over 22 times in the loss.
UP NEXT: Putnam City travels to meet Bartlesville Tuesday (Jan. 30) in a Class 6A District 3 contest. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. The Lady Pirates beat the Lady Bruins, 54-49, on Dec. 5.

The Lady Patriots won by forfeit after Northwest Classen announced the disbanding of its girls basketball team.
With the forfeit, the Lady Knights dropped to 0-17. West improved to 16-1.
