WARR ACRES — Jenks and Putnam City combined for 32 hits in the Trojans’ 13-4 win Thursday (Aug. 20) in a 6A-4 contest.
The Trojans had 22 hits in the win and blew the game open with six runs in the second inning,
The Pirates avoided the shutout with four runs on five straight hits in the fifth inning.
Senior Cadence O’Dell-Brown led off with a single and D’Najah Jarrell followed with a double. Seniors Natalie Luevano and Alexandra Hatlelid smacked back-to-back triples. Senior Tesslynn Goodner added a double to make it 13-4.
The top of the order for the Pirates (Luevano, Hatlelid and Goodner) all went 2-for-3. That added to the 2-for-2 performance from 9-hole hitter Jarrell.

On Monday (Aug. 24), the Pirates take a break from 6A-4 play. They will host 3A Millwood at 6 p.m.
