
WARR ACRES — Sapulpa scored 11 runs in the second inning in a 17-0 shutout of Putnam City Tuesday (April 28) in the Pirates’ final 6A-3 contest of the season.
The Pirate pitching staff issued 11 walks. Putnam City had four errors along with nine Chieftain hits.
Sophomore MJ Petties had the PC’s lone hit. Junior Bryson Vanover added a walk and stolen base. Original batters struck out eight times in the loss.

Putnam City (4-29) travels to 5A Shawnee (17-13) Friday (May 1) at 5 p.m.
The Wolves have won three straight, including a 12-2 win over 4A Pauls Valley last Thursday (April 23). Shawnee hosts Midwest City this Thursday before playing Original.
