


BETHANY — Bethany ran its winning streak to eight with a 67-17 rout of Western Heights Friday (Jan. 16).
The loss snapped a 3-game winning streak for the Jets.
The Bronchos built a big lead early and held Western Heights scoreless in the second quarter.
“I thought we shot the 3-ball really well,” Bethany coach Eric Sailer said via text. Bethany nailed 14 of 25 shots from the 3-point line.
Sophomore Kamryn Donley scored a game-high 18 points with five treys. Donley had two steals and an assist.
Broncho guard Reese Harris added 12 points. The senior was 4-of-4 from outside the arc. She had four rebounds and an assist.
Junior Ali Linn followed with nine points, four rebounds, two steals and three assists.
Fellow junior Camryn Regier scored eight points, brought down five rebounds and had an assist in just under 12 minutes on the floor.
Senior Maddison McNutt also scored eight points. She had one assist, a rebound and a steal.
Bethany shot 47 percent from the field while Western Height hit only 14 percent.The Jets also had 17 turnovers.
Western Heights’ Khamiyah Laster scored six points in the loss.
UP NEXT
Bethany (12-2) has some time off before opening the Heart of Oklahoma Basketball Tournament in Purcell Jan. 22 with a matchup against 3A Dickson.
The Comets are 4-8.
The Jets (6-8) host 5A Shawnee (11-2) Tuesday (Jan. 20) at 6 p.m.
The Wolves beat Collinsville, 36-35, Friday.
