DEL CITY— Putnam City senior Dahlia Hickerson drove in five runs and junior Tess Goodner tossed a run-rule no-hitter as the Pirates routed Santa Fe South, 14-1, to finish up the Del City Festival Saturday (Sept. 20).

Hickerson went 2-for-4 with a double and triple. Her performance was part of a 10-hit attack from Original.

Junior Alexandra Hatlelid was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and three stolen bases. Fellow junior Payton Grigsby added 2-for-3 day with two runs scored and three RBIs.

Juniors Madi Gossman, Goodner, Cadence O’Dell-Brown and Natalie Luevano each had a hit.

Gossman stole two bases and scored one. Goodner stole a base and scored once. O’Dell-Brown also had a steal, two runs scored and an RBI. Luevano stole two bases and scored three times.

Kaylee Rivera walked once, stole three bases and scored.

Every Pirate in the lineup scored at least once with the exception of Hickerson (with her five RBIs).

Goodner allowed two walks and an unearned run over three innings. The junior struck out nine batters.

Santa Fe South did not bat in the bottom of the fourth inning.

The Highlanders scored eight runs in the first inning en route to the win.

Junior Addison Grier picked up the Pirates’ lone hit and also stole a base. Hickerson also walked and stole a base.

MacArthur took advantage of 10 walks in the contest.

El Reno scored seven runs in the first inning of the shortened game. The Indians took advantage of five PC errors.
