OKLAHOMA CITY — Both Putnam City and Putnam City West competed in the Southside Showdown cross country meet at Southeast Saturday (Aug. 23).
Putnam City West junior Mariana Pérez finished seventh in the girls race with a time of 14:52.7. Teammate Tori Rolling landed in 10th place in 15:25.7.
Other top 20 finishers include Putnam City’s Caysie Hanefield (11th, 15:27.7) and Natalie Ross (14th, 15:56.2) and West’s Jennifer Gomez (19th, 16:57.6).
The Patriots finished third in the team standings and Putnam City landed in fifth.
Top finishers in the boys race were PC junior Fernando Velasco (28th, 11:59.2) and West junior Shiloh Nixon (30th, 12:06.4).
In the boys team standings, West finished sixth and Putnam City was eighth.
UP NEXT
Both Putnam City and Putnam City West (along with Putnam City North), will compete in the Titan Invitational Friday (Aug. 29) at 7:45 a.m. at Carl Albert in Midwest City.
