
WEATHERFORD — The Bethany volleyball team began its quest for another state title Tuesday (Aug. 12) with a 3-0 win over Weatherford The Bronchos won 25-10, 25-15 and 25-12.
“It was a great fun season opener,” Bethany coach Kerri Cagle said via text. “We are all excited to get the season going.”
Senior outside hitter Skylar Brady had 15 kills, six digs and two blocks. Junior libero Gracee Geissler added eight digs. Senior setter Maya McPhaul had three kills, five digs and two blocks.
With the win, Bethany (1-0) ran its winning streak to nine, including the end of its state championship season last year. The Bronchos’ last loss was Oct. 4, 2024.
