WARR ACRES — The Pirates were held to one hit and Piedmont scored seven runs over the last two innings.
Senior Lukas Poindexter broke up a no-hitter in the fifth inning with a single. Junior Brandon Bennett added a walk.

PIEDMONT — Three Piedmont pitchers combined for a five-inning no-hitter and the Wildcats scored ten runs in the first inning en route to a rout.
Senior JT Twillie was the Pirates’ lone baserunner. Twillie walked with one out in the second inning. Poindexter bunted him over to second base, but Twillie was later caught stealing third base to end the inning.
Pirate hitters struck out five times in the loss.
Piedmont amassed nine hits and the Wildcats walked 10 times.
Senior Henry Plata took the loss. Of the 14 runs he allowed over 2 1/3 innings, only four were earned due to three PC errors. Plata struck out five batters.
