
OKLAHOMA CITY — Norman used two big innings to rout Putnam City North, 13-4, Friday (March 21) in a non-district game.
The Tigers scored five runs in the first inning and eight runs in the third for the big win.
Trailing, 5-0, in the first inning, the Panthers scored two runs in the bottom of the first on three walks and single by junior Robert Marcy (North’s only hit of the game).
After Norman took a 13-2 lead, North scored two runs in the third inning. Back-to-back bases-loaded walks of sophomore Treague Ferguson and junior Xavier Sarkey scored two runs.
Norman issued eight walks to the Panthers, who only struck out three times for the game.
North had four pitchers in the game and Panther pitching issued 12 walks in the loss.

North (1-13, 0-4) hosts Yukon (8-8, 3-1) Monday (March 31) in a 6A-1 contest.
The Millers beat 4A Harrah, 7-6, Saturday in the Choctaw tournament.
