
OKLAHOMA CITY — Western Heights took third place in the All-City Athletic Conference baseball tournament Friday (March 28) with a 2-0 win over Southeast.
“Good pitching and timely hitting,” Western Heights coach Stephen Smitherman said via text. “Played good defense and proud of how the team rebounded after the hard loss the day before.”
The Jets took a first inning lead when senior Jaob Bohnstedt reached second base due to an infield error. Bohnstedt stole third base and came home on a sacrifice fly by junior Akin Aguillard.
In the third inning, junior Keziah Howell reached on an infielder error. Bohnstedt followed with a single to center field which scored Howell.
On the mound, Bohnstedt allowed three hits and one walk in the shortened complete game. Bohnstedt struck out six in the win.
