
CHOCTAW — Choctaw had two pitchers throw a combined five-inning no-hitter in a 11-0 win over Putnam City Tuesday (March 25) in a 6A-2 contest.
The Pirates (1-11, 0-4) managed three baserunners in the loss. Sophomore Bryson Vanover reached on an infield error and senior Lukas Poindexter was hit by a pitch, both in the first inning.
Senior Andrew Simon walked in the fifth inning for the final baserunner.
Choctaw senior Reuben Robinson struck out five batters in four inning and junior Landon Gatson struck out three more for the Yellowjackets, now 6-2 and 4-0 in 6A-2 contests.
Putnam City committed nine errors in the loss. Of the 11 runs allowed by sophomore Easton Garcia, only three were earned runs. Garcia walked six batters and struck out one batter.

The Pirates begin the Bryson Cael Memorial festival Thursday (March 27). PC hosts 5A schools, Santa Fe South (0-12) at 11 a.m. and Del City (0-10) at 4 p.m.
Santa Fe South lost to Elgin, 15-0, Monday. Del City fell to Noble, 26-2, Tuesday.
