WARR ACRES — Putnam City committed 11 errors and Choctaw routed the Pirates, 24-0, Monday (March 24) in a 6A-2 game.
The Yellowjackets (5-2, 3-0) scored 12 runs in the second inning en route to the win. Choctaw batters also walked 11 times and collected 11 hits.
The Pirates (1-10, 0-3) struggled at the plate with one hit.
Senior Lukas Poindexter had a bunt single in the fifth inning to break up the Yellowjackets’ combined no-hitter.
PC hitters walked four times and struck out nine times in the loss.
