OKLAHOMA CITY — Bethany earned its third straight regional title with a 62-52 win over Glenpool Saturday (March 1) at Crossings Christian.

The eighth-ranked Lady Bronchos had three players score in double figures as they overcame a fourth quarter rally by the ninth-ranked Lady Warriors.

Bethany senior Keziah Lofton played in her second game this season after recovering from a leg injury last summer. The Oklahoma signee scored 24 points, had eight rebounds and three assists. She upped her minutes from 18 to 31. Lofton hit three 3-pointers in the win.

Fellow senior Kayten Donley added 18 points. The Oral Roberts signee went 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to help seal the win. Donley brought down 13 boards and dished out five assists.

Sophomore Camryn Regier scored 11 points and had nine rebounds. Fellow sophomore Ali Linn followed with four points and five rebounds.

Bethany (20-5) outrebounded Glenpool, 39-35. The Lady Bronchos turned the ball over 14 times, including seven steals from Glenpool (18-10).

Bethany shot 32 percent from the field while the Lady Warriors shot 22 percent.

UP NEXT

The Lady Bronchos face fourth ranked Locust Grove (24-1) for the Area 3 Championship.

The two teams meet Friday (March 7) at 6 p.m.

The Lady Pirates beat Broken Bow, 68-39, Saturday.

The winner earns a berth in the state tournament as Bethany tries to win its third-straight state championship. The loser will have to win against the winner of a contest between regional runner-ups to earn a state berth.
