
PURCELL — Bethany advanced to the finals of the Heart of Oklahoma Basketball Tournament with a 60-23 win over Elgin Friday (Jan. 24).
“One of our better games from start to finish,” Bethany coach Eric Sailer said via text. “We understood our game plan and executed it well.”
The Lady Bronchos (11-4) sprinted out to an 27-4 lead after the first quarter.
Bethany senior Kayten Donley scored a game-high 16 points. Donley also had six rebounds, six blocks and three steals.
Junior Reese Harris added 12 points with a couple of 3-pointers.
Sophomore Camryn Regier had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. She also had three steals.
Junior Maddison McNutt followed with eight points and two steals. McNutt drained two treys. Sophomore Ali Linn had seven points and three steals.
UP NEXT
The Lady Bronchos meet host Purcell (8-7) in the tournament final Saturday (Jan. 25) at 7 p.m.
The Lady Dragons beat 6A Enid, 46-36, Friday.
Bethany won the tournament last season beating now-3A Anadarko.
